JJ utg ... $5 SnG..squeezed

Posted Fri May 05, 2006 4:08 am GMT by red_pen
BB=40, stacks 2000, 9 players. (1st hand)

Hero has JJ UTG and raises to 140.
UTG+1 calls. (i'd guess this is a bit loose)
UTG+2 re-raises to 940 total.

Do I fold/call/push ?

If I call, what's my plan for a flop of:
a) Undercards ?
b) A/K high ?
In both the cases when UTG+1 calls and when UTG+1 folds.

You don't need a plan for post flop. At this point I think you would either push or fold.

Since it's the first hand of a sng I would be kind of tempted to make a "donk" play and push.

The right move, odds-wise, would be to fold.

if i was there playing the game id proly push, but you are defenitely beat.

if you want to do the smart thing, fold.

1st hand of a $5 SnG and you think he's definately beat? Razz

What was the buy-in? This would make a big difference when answering this question.
*edit* nevermind... guess I should read the subject heading, huh?
I'd push.

I definitely know you've both spelled that word wrong.

I probably push, just because I do things like that.

People like to roll the dice on doubling or even tripling their stack on first hand. I'd call
