Spent 7 hours at the casino tonight |

and I lost 3 dollars lol. Now take into account I got 7 hours on my card ( the 5$ an hour card after 1000 hours ) and overall I made out pretty good. Also take into account 3$ for food , and I probably tiped off 7$ - doing a little better. I'm becoming friends with the dealers , So i feel mroe fo a need to tip as long as I'm not loseing out my ass. I really shuold start tipping no more then 50 cents at a time ( 1 50 cent chip ) - but I was actualy down 40$ after 4 hours - hadnt won a hand in 2 hours. My favorit dealer sits and 3 hands later I win a 20$ pot , then 5 hands late win a 30$ pot. Had to tip him well for that!
So anyway , I made about 15$ worth of easily aviodable mistakes.
- AA utg I raise 5 callers. Flop 344 I bet and i get raised lol. Shoulda just folded , but told myself if i hit a set i should get paid off big time, not to mention was 2 other callers. 34o floped a boat.
- couple times i bet every street , only to bet the river when the flush card hits - should check/call and save myself a bb. IE they raise me on the river when they hit it.
- Need to value bet a little more , sometimes I know im good but don't bet it.
Took some bad beats , which is cool and all but it was putting a serious damper on me as I was not only getting cold cards - then i couldnt hit flops - then i wuold take a bad beat when i would hit a flop lol. but id ratehr take a bad beat then get no cards - at least bad beat money is coming back to me in the long run.
The hand that brought me from down 30$ to up 5$ - Ak early on , 2 bet ...calls all the way to the utg limper , who raises lol. I was thinking about capping , but i was offsuite , so I felt it not best. Flop comes Q x x , utg checks I bet down the the call factory on the otehr side who raises. Ouch , queen nothing for him ! Everyone calls , myself included. J on the turn , cool still considering both my A and K live at this point as well as now a nut str8 draw. checks to OB er , who bets , all call. When everyone called , i started thinking my king wasnt live..... Ace on the river! perfect , allthough I did fear I may be up against two pair , but with 4 other players , I decided to value bet. EVERYONE CALLS???????? I was terrified , but I won.
Another funny hand i probably coulda made more , long story short I limp KQo , flop blank - checks around. turn blank , checks around. river I make nut str8 on a no flush board. I kinda throw my BB out there and say " well , i should have the best hand " folds over to a guy who pauses.....checks his hole cards.... looks at the flop and raises ( jackpot ! ) I reraise saying " well maybe we have the same hand " and he re-raises me lol. Stupidly though , I didnt relize it was heads up , I just call even though i could have kept re-raiseing. He had the little str8.
Some funny badbeats , well AA vs 34o was pretty funny , it was my 2nd hand I sat down to lol.
This one was funny/brutal , what amde it more funny was it was to a guy who knew all of the %'s - yet still couldnt play poker well. And he would bitch hardcore everytime someone sucked out on him.

A question to dave ( if he reads this ) how long do you usualy go through dryspells? cold cards I mean , or where you cant get a hand.... cant hit a flop....cant win to the river people sucking out , and you just seem to be going down and down slowly but surely. This was the second time I was doing half ok , and then i cant win a pot for 2-3 hours. Allthough I know the limits your playing , theres room to make moves , so probbaly a little less variance - im just playing no foldem-holdem.
All in all, fun night! im up to 50 hours on my card , 950 to go till 5000$ ! I do think i REALLY need to play 2-4 or 3-6 though. 7 hours and i lost 3$ - If this was a higher limit i think i would have been up actualy. If i had not made some of my simple mistakes , would have come up , also if i could take less beats , would have been up. So im happy with tonight. Room to improve.
on a side note, got to talk to more dealers about being a pro dealer at my local casino. Man , I cant wait

Wow that was a logn read  Good thing i did'nt read all of it. Overall i say you did good, 7 hours and only losing 3 dollers. Can't beat that.
