I had a situation like this happen to me today wanted you stud player's i input. I was dealt 6710 off Diamonds villian is showing A of spades we cap third. I get Q diamonds. He gets 3 of spades. I bet and am raised. Should I give him credit for the spades for the higher flush? My thinking was even if he doesn't have them he still has 3 more streets to go so I folded. Good move? this was .50/1 BTW.

Was it only you an villian in the hand? Was there lots of other or in any other hands? Other peoples cards are very important in stud. If you notice lots of spades showing then I wouldn't be too worried about the other player making the flush. I would stick around to try to make mine.

Two other diamonds were folded and 1 spade.

It's much more likely he has a pair of Aces. With that much money in the pot, I call down from here and raise if I get my flush.
Btw, capping 3rd street, NOT a good idea IMO. With two diamonds dead already, I would not even call the villain's opening raise. You are either about to lose a big pot because you played it poorly, or you will luck out and hit a narrow flush (remember you have 7 outs MAX now).

Capped third with that? As Diamond said, that's a terrible play. At best, call a single raise if two or three others are still in the pot -- and even that's iffy.
Especially with a couple of your flush cards gone already, I wouldn't have even thought about calling the completion unless I had an A in hand.
And I certainly wouldn't have bet fourth.
