I doubt pushing the turn changes things. He has a pair, although it is only bottom pair, and the nut draw. He's more than likely calling anything.

Your pot sized bet on the turn is fine. You have to fold the river though, he's played the hand like a flopped flush/ flush draw or maybe a passively played flopped set.

Its the start of the tourney then. Is this a MTT or SNG?

Don't be results orientated. Ok, so he had the nut flush draw on the turn and you're thinking now "Damn if I had gone all in I could have stopped him drawing. He would have layed it down I bet"

I say shoulda woulda coulda and I have never said that on an Internet message board ever in my life, but meh.

I am going to check fold the river and this is why.

You are playing an unknown player. It's the start of a tourney.

Bet pot on flop, he calls when its one suited. Bet pot on turn, he calls.

What can he have? Ok, he could be really shit and overplaying KJ or QJ. Then again he could have KJ or QJ with the K or Q being a spade. If he has AJ then your stuffed anyway.

If I was your villan and I was holding any strong hand such as trips and flush draw, flush, house Then I would play it exactly how he did. He has position and can just keep on calling till you stop betting. So you stop on the river. You are scared now and think it may be a trap. I will make a nice teaser bet just to get some more chips out of you. Especially now the 4th spade has hit.

I have not long woke up so not sure how clear this is.

Basically where I am going with this is the way that he played it, with NO INFO on the player, it looks like more often than not you are beat. The question is not to push on the turn, but to fold on the river.

I'd say fold.

I really prefer doing hand analysis without the results though.

I think you played it fine except the river call (know you said it was frustration).
