Pre-flop, what kind of odds do you need to call with any 2 cards? I was just in a hand where, I folded, but after thinking about it, should I have?
I had T3os. 5 limped to me, I folded. After thinking about this, I was getting 6.5 to 1 on my money here. Would it have been right to call?
When can I call with anything at all?
Thanks!

Also, is there any site that tells you a hands odds of flopping preflop (88 chance of hitting a set, JKs chance of flush, etc)?
Thank you

regardless of odds, sometimes I have a hard time calling with sub-marginal hands such as T3o...I would be more inclined to call with 34s before calling with T3o.
As for your other question, there are many sites that offer basic preflop odds charts. I know Mike Caro's site has a lot of charts.

Well, you basically want a hand that plays well in a multiway pot...because even though odds are good, your equity is measured in how often your hand winds next to all the other hands. T3o will mostly leave you with alot of difficult decisions and hands that can easily lose or having the fold the best hand.
Hands like a suited connector, a suited ace or suited king or a pocket pair are easy to play quality hands in big multiway pots.

Chance of hitting a set is 11.8% if you hold a pocket pair. Odds of flopping a flush DRAW with two suited cards is about the same. Odds of flopping a flush is a little under 1% if I remember correctly.
To call with anything? Oh,I'd say maybe 12-to-1 or so. I might call with T3o if I was in the SB and everyone limped before me.

I think the only time you can justify calling with any two cards.......even 72o, is if your BB, and UTG min raises and the ENTIRE table calls
Other then that, don't play 103o man - unless its NL and you plan on bluffing your arse off - your only gonna want to play at least somewhat connected cards IE J9 108 57 or at least make sure they are suited.
Honestly hands that are more then 3 gaps apart ( further then 107 ) and offsuite - are not playable under any circumstance - save for NL or you plan on making a move if you miss the flop.

Thanks all.
Tame Dueces:
Thanks for that post, really helps clrea things up.
The SB situation (and sometimes BB), are the only tiem this ever occurs to me. If I'm in sb, and a bunch of people limp.
Thanks!

I found this one site at some point where it would show you the probabilities of 2 over cards beating 2 lower cards, or AK beating AQ pre-flop. Just a bunch of cards and showed all the probabilities. I haven't been able to find it in ages, anybody happen to know which one I'm talking about?

Check out our Pre-Flop Calculator...basically w/ T3o it breaks down like this:
Chance of flopping 2 pair or better 5.71%
Chance of flopping 4 to a flush 2.24%
Chance of flopping a pair 26.94%
Chance of No overcards 30.53%
We also have other calculators here...have a look around, i think they're the best out there
btw, those numbers are the same for 27o, cept for overcards...I figure its about 1 in 12 chances I'm gonna have top pair or better, but top pair aint so hot w/ a ton of players...so w/ 4 or more llimpers, i'm likely to call w/ anything
I'm assuming in the example above, you were small blind...i'll call a lot of times even w/ these poopy hands...so long as my stack can handle it....if the flop is raggity, and i hit some of it, then I can represent something bigger since I was small blind and I'm not supposed to have anything...the fewer ppl there are, the more likely i'm gonna bet into the pot tho, so its a balancing act of course...
again, if the flop is raggity, there is a good chance those mediocre handed limpers didnt hit anything w/ their KQo, AXs....kinda hafta feel it out...the real problem is being out of position...
