My thinking behind this call was:
1) I'm only a huge dog to AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ
2) I'm a coinflip vs. underpairs, and only in a little worse shape against Ax
3) I dominate Qx and Kx
4) He was very shortstacked, so I could see him doing this with any Ax, maybe Kx (but x would prolly be atleast 9-T), any PP, any 2 face cards
5) Although I'm probably behind by atleast a little bit, the amount of my stack to I have to call, for the chance to eliminate a player, and place higher in the money, more then makes up for the bad odds, right?

How's my thinking on that hand? Interested in any advice

Thanks!

Under most circumstances I would fold KQo without thinking twice about it. However, your the chip leader and even if he beats you in this hand your still not hurt that bad and your in fine shape to still win the whole tournament. My thinking is he is going to call or push with any pp, PP, Ax or AX hand. It's worth the gamble. If you can take him out then your dominating the table by 4:1 in chips plus you eliminate another player.

There's nothing wrong with that call in that situation.

I would make that call as well.

Yea, I think I call here as well, even though his limp/push gives me the impression of Ax or something like 44-77...

I probably would've raised more initially. Trying to ensure I got heads-up, being o.k. with it if I just picked up the blinds, but mostly because I don't mind grinding them down and I like to lean heavy at the end with a chip lead.

Outside of that, yes, instant call with those stacks.

I don't mind this call considering the chipstacks. Did you have any reads? Was he LAG? If he was a tight/ solid player than I doubt your ahead here, but you're not necessarily a huge dog either.

I find his comment interesting though, "lets play", it may indicate he wants to gamble.

Thanks all, good to hear.

Was a bit weary when the hand was over (he hit a full house w/ AJ :x ).

No reads on him, was busy reading HoH, so wasn't paying alot of attention to the general table dynamics
