say you have KQ and you both only have the high... he just shows you the A... can you make him show the other card? you know he already beat you but in some situations it helps
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

There is a player who plays with us that refuses to show his other card. Its quite annoying. Since we are playing for low limits and we are all friends I dont make a big deal out of it. The rules usually state you have to show both cards to win.

Why should he have to show the other card?
He's shown enough to beat you, so why should he give you more information?
That said, I'm not actually aware of the rules on this one.

If you are called-you have to show both cards. It is very simple.

a little unethical, not to mention illegal. if called, you MUST SHOW BOTH CARDS or you could be denied pot, and if you were at my house, you would be until you showed the second card.
