A request for non-result posting!

Posted Sun May 28, 2006 8:44 pm GMT by tame_deuces
I just want to add a request for people to post their hands upto the specific action where they have a question or wish to discuss possible plans for the hand at later streets.

Please don't post results! In my opinion the hand analysis threads have been cluttered with results oriented advice and advice that take villain's specific hand into consideration in the last few months.

This may at its worst generate completely wrong and useless information.

agreed we dont want that gay results oriented bullshit like we had last time w/ J-Dee and Leafs and that other guy

Eliminating results from any hand or question one may have can prove advantageous in several ways.

1) More creative thinking and details are needed to provide a legit answer.
2) We will normally get two different sides going on and argue/debate accordingly.

When results are shared before thoughts, it's more than likley a subconcious reaction to pick the "correct" (short term winning) result.

Thank you Tame for adressing this, and hopefully we get many users to abide by it.

I would also like to ask that hands be posted in the proper forums. I know that I've been guilty of this on many occasions, posting SnG hands in the Tourney poker forum, but that won't be happenning anymore.

So, post those hands where they belong and stop cluttering up the online/tournament forums!

I don't see the big deal with posting SnG hands in the tournament forum.

Maybe not so much the tourney forum as the online forum...

definitely. Results-oriented analysis is some of the worst stuff you can do to yourself.

the 2+2 forums have increased in quality exponentially since people stopped posting results.
