this country's casinos still havent catched up in the poker department
all they have is FL €5/10.... and well, im playing tonight.. gonna head out in about an hour. minimum buy-in is €100... im gonna sit down with 200...i once observed a game like this there and it was idiot city central... i just KNOW that i can make money there even though €200 is a HUGE amount for my ass... a friend of mine once played and left with 250 profit..
tables are filled with people who play any 2 cards and chase anything down to the river... so i just need to show some hands.... if i play the way i do online when i play FL i think i should do good.

Watch out if €200 means a lot to you. A bad run of cards and your out.

Of course it wasn't long ago that 5 Euros was almost exactly the same as $5...and it's only, what, 10 or 12% more now? So your game is about the same as 6/12 here.
I play a lot of casino poker, but 3/6, 5/10, 6/12--it takes real patience and a strong stomach to win at those limits. There is always someone playing bottom or middle pair, another on a J4 suited flush draw kind of hand. The pots are much bigger than they ought to be--5 or 6 people seeing the flop. My advice is play very, very few hands in early and early-middle position. Use position in the deeper seats to make raises that cost the idiots to make calls they shouldn't.
Poto, above, is right, though. You can easily whistle right through 200 Euros in a very short time if you have three or four good hands get busted in quick succession...Forgive me the pun, but that is exactly what many a 5/10 games really is--a suck session.

Yeah thats right, these limits are pretty sick, one big blind on this table is a max. buy-in in most of our NL home games, haha! i always play tight is right in FL though..
So well i did good.. sat down with €200 and left with €342..
the hands hands that mattered:
9-3s in the big blind... unraised pot. flop 2 pair, all hearts though, i lead out and one flush drawer left on the turn but the other one persisted and catched it on the river with a K-6 offsuit
A-A late position.. 3 callers. Q high flop, 2 clubs, i bet, couple of callers, im hoping for no club, turn is a club. then everyone checks, i bet and the big blind raises.. i fold and he shows his nut flush
then Im UTG+2 with 4-3 of spades, I decide to limp for once, guy after me raises, 6 callers, i call. flop 4-4-9... took down a pretty big one here when someone called me down every street and mucked his hand at showdown, probably had a 9
then after a while of throwing more hands in the muck i got AA on the button, i raise, the small blind and 2 guys to the right of me call. flop A-7-3.. two clubs. checked to me, I bet, SB folds, others both call. Turn 7. first to act bets, other folds, i raise, he calls. he checks the river, I bet, he calls w 74s for trip 7s. i lay down AA and take a 90 or so pot.
then a few minutes before i really had to go to catch my bus, i get A-2 offsuit in the small blind (blinds are €5-€5 by the way, not €2.50-€5) nearly everyone calls. flop: Q-7-4, all hearts. someone in middle position bets, lots of callers and i call. turn is another heart, orginal bettor checks, someone bets, a few call, i just call, the flop betting guy calls too after a lot of doubt. then the river is another heart, everyone checks, i bet, all except said dude call and mucked it after I showed the A. about a 100 euro pot that was. great night, and i enjoyed it. Wish i could have played longer... definitely some swings though as i was down to about €100 after those first few hands...

Man, we need to do something about that euro.
Maybe we could have W "bring freedom" to a couple of EU countries.../trilateral commision memo
What would you do in a .10-.25 game if your entire 25 euro stack got called to the middle and you were a . . . say . . . 60% favorite?
What would you do in a 1-2 game if the same thing happened to yoru 200 euro stack?
Where is the euro symbol on the keyboard?
These are the questions that shape a player's soul...
