Frustrated

Posted Tue May 30, 2006 1:10 pm GMT by UrAteUp
This is more of a rant then to know if I played the hand right or not. I was playing $.10/$.20 at Doyles during lunch. I was in LP with 10J Club. EP villian raises to $1. This shitbird was raising any A the same way. Didn't matter if it was Ax or AX. So I put him on an AX hand and made the call. Flop comes out 10J3r. He pushes which gets me thinking perhaps I was behind but based on my read of this player I figured I was still good with 2 pr. I make the call. He flips over A7o. Turn brings an A and I am thinking this can't be one of those hands where A hits the turn and then the river too. Well I was right. The A didn't hit the river too, but a stinking ass 7 did. Grrrr poker can be so damned frustrating when you make the right move based on information you know and then BAM..your screwed!!!!

That sux dude. If it is any consolation, you are a 94/6 favorite on that flop, so hopefully VillainMegaDonkey will do this again 99 more times and you will be able to make him your butler when he runs out of $$. Smile

Tough beat.

Just remember that JT will usually not hit the flop hard like it did here, you're probably looking at a draw or pair weak kicker (top pair if youre lucky) most of the times you do hit and against a guy like this you will probably play for your entire stack.

So if the board comes QJ3, are you prepared to call an all-in? How about J86 with 3 hearts? or 357 with two clubs?

So I don't mind the preflop call, just remember that if you fold to much on the flop against the people like this, then that PF call is spewage, and I've read your posts on here, I know you fold more than you should. Laughing

I feel you, poker stars is doing the same thing to me right now. Every time Im the favorite going into the hand I lose I just got 4th place 3 times in a row in SNG's. Hands like AK vs. KJ. It seems like the only hands I can win are the ones im the underdog in.

So you should've been out much earlier than you were? Wink

Poker stars hates me. Its a good thing it becomes illegal in my state soon because I might lose all my winnings at this rate....

Sorry for complaining here, my wall couldnt handle me yelling at it anymore Laughing

I believe he means you tend to give people too much credit for hands and lay down too many potential winners.
