Easy fold simply from a strategic standpoint. Gigabet and a few others talk extensively about situations where it might be correct to lay down a +EV hand to get greater EV at a later time. With your stack, you have plenty of play.
Also, I just don't think your hand rates to be the best.

i folded. the other guy passed 99 the caller , and the re raiser had KK., utg had QJ.

Generally the second guy to go all in in a situation like that has at least a middle pocket pair.
How late was it? Was every person out moving you up the money? if so, I'd say you were definately right.
