Reads: UTG+1 is tight. Played one hand. Raised + cbet the flop. UTG+2, and CO - nothing out of the ordinary. Liked to limp. But we were only about 15 or so hands in, so who knows.
Hero has 3500. UTG+1 2200. The other two about 1800 each. Hero is BB w/ K 3 8 players left.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls 60, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls 60, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.
Pot=270. Flop: K Q 5
Hero bets 430, UTG+1 calls. 2 folds.
Hero has 3100 left. UTG+1 has 1770.
Pot=1130. Turn: 8
Hero?

First let me say I do not like the big bet after the flop. Sure you have top pair, you also have a weak ass kicker and there is a heavy flush draw on the board. I agree with betting out but that large of a bet screams I don't have much and I want to defend it. Bet out about a pot sized bet after the flop. On the turn I would do it again. If he flat calls then I would check the river and pray I didn't pay all this to see his winning hand.

Without seeming like a nit, you have TPNK and 3 people in the pot and it won't break you to wait it out for a better hand. You are OOP and against 3 players with a 3 flush board. It doesn't bode well for your hand. I probably would have checked the flop most times in your situation.
So say I done what you did....
Depending on how tight he is, he is either playing for the flush or already has the flush. Being OOP makes this hand so much more difficult for you.
I think I'd fire on the turn again and adjust accordingly to the river if he calls. If he raises then get out.

If I bet that flop it's around 200, because I don't do bloat the pot with a weak hand.
On the turn I check, betting is expensive here and I don't see the need of it. I just give up.

Ok let me put it another way. Forget about what hero has, if you can. Pretend you are UTG+1, or any of the others for that matter:
You have A J do you call?
You have A J do you call?
You have K Q do you call?
You have K J do you call?
You see, I was not hero. I was CO w/KJs and I folded so was somewhat surprised when he showed what he did. And it got me to thinking what sort of hand that type and size of bet would cause to fold in that situation.
I am not really convinced it is as stupid a bet as it would first appear.
