First hand at the table. Obviously no reads or info about anyone. I would like to add that I think I played this hand horribly.
1/2 Limit, 6-max.
Hero is in BB and is dealt KJs.
Action folds to CO who raises. Button folds, Sb calls, Hero calls.
Flop: T67 rainbow.
Action checks around. (I am suspicious of Villain after his check. TT maybe?)
Turn: J
Action checks to Villain who bets, Sb folds, Hero calls.
River: J
Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero raises, Villain reraises, Hero calls.

Lead, 3-bet the turn. Check/call the river.

Definately lead the turn. 3-bet and see if he caps. If he doesn't cap, I lead the river. If he does cap, I check/call the river. Zinn you lead the turn here with the turned TPGK because after you show something like that down, you can usually pick up some more pots with nothing after you are in the blinds and the flop gets checked around.

I don't think you played it too bad. I would have lead the turn as well though.

I agree. But even the best play cannot exclude the possibility of running into a full house on the river. Bad beats happen.
