Today I played the poker tournament at my dads golf club that I talked about earlier. There were 42 people, $25 dollar buy in, and a $600 prize pool. This was the first tournament ever, horrible structure with huge antes,blinds from the beggining. The biggest fish you have ever seen. These people were so bad, a lot of them would show their cards, one person even showed her cards to everyone, asking someone what to do on the flop. No one understood ante/blind system. I hardly played a hand, but you would get so much from the ante's/blinds that you didnt have to win many hands. There were 4 tables, so 11 ppl to start at each table  Only top 5 got paid.
I was so mad that I played like a wuss at the bubble. Folded AK to an all in pre flop so I would last. I would have tripled up that hand. The best hand was Q,J there :p I was playing good, making some good steals, playing aggresive with 3 ppl left. The one guy with a huge stack, me with a mediem stack, and the third person with a small stack. I went out calling a guy all-in with A,J. The guy flops two pair with K,9. So I came in 3rd, $100, not to bad. The guy who busted me out went to call a healthy sized all-in with J,4, when the flop was K,Q,6.
Edit: Not only that, but the dealers hardly knew anything. When changing chips for higher valued chips, the guy gave a bit more then 3000 chips and got 8000 chips in return.
