Can anyone who's been there recommend the best places to play poker? I'm going there with a friend thursday-sat/sunday and am trying to figure out what tourneys/cash games to play in. Looking for 1/2 NL mostly and tourneys <$150.
Would be grateful for any kind of information. Thanks.

I highly recommend the Trop for the $1/2 NL cash games. Bally's has a new tournament room (it's in the Wild Wild West Casino side on the 1st floor) that the hubby said was nice. They run STSNG's every hour with an aggressive blind structure. I believe they also have MTT's running, but I'm not sure of the schedule.
Bally's poker room for cash games was collusion central and it's very unorganized for getting seated. The dealers are also pretty bad, IMO. The Trop has much better organization and the dealers won't allow for collusion and rarely call the wrong hand as the winner. The opposition varies.
I've heard good things about the Taj as well, but I haven't played there.

Thnx wench, I ended up spending most of my time at the trop and it was great. The competition there was pretty fierce though...I was getting bad cards so I ended up going only +$430. My friend got hussled for about $700 though...so he was in a bad mood on the way back but oh well.
I'm hoping vegas will have a lot more bad players so I can make some real cash...that was a lot of hard work for only 400 bucks.
