1) u play with 25BBs...you should always sit with 100xBBs and reload when it drops below 90BBs
2) You gotta raise way more preflop.
noone will fold to a 3xBB raise, I would have raised 7x or 8xBB
3) you bet $0.80 in a $1.80 pot, that is too weak...bet +-$1.50
but considering your stack u might aswell move all in right away.
4) if u had a normal buy-in ($10) and got called on flop, I would have really gotten cautious on turn...probably bet $2.50 and fold to a raise.
5) why check-call the river ? push the money in the middle yourself.
With a normal stack checking wouldnt have been bad since the board is scary and you can hope to see a cheap showdown, but in this case with your $0.47 left it's better to bet yourself.

1) Big dang weakness of mine. For some reason I just can't bring myself to bring a full buy in to the table.
2) I didn't want to push too many people out. I wanted the majority to buy in. Stupid thing to want really considering the board after the flop.
3) Usually the fish setting at these levels will back way off when you hit them with a bet of $0.80. I was happy to see it got rid of all but 1 person from this pot.
4) I was a little nervous after the turn card hit. I thought for sure I would be looking at the flush in villians hands. I was reluctant to even bet out here but I thought if I bet and he raised I knew I was beat. So I did a continuation bet.
5) I figured by the river either he had me beat or not. I thought for sure villian would have checked if I checked. What told me he couldn't beat me was that lame bet he laid down. $.80 into that hefty little pot I figured was what I needed to see to know that I was either ahead still or he had me beat and was insighting me to call.
Horibly played I realize and I am happy and lucky to be walking away with this pot.

If you're going to sit with a short stack, you have to play short stack poker. Find a hand, make a healthy raise and push the flop. You can't get cute because you don't have anything behind to protect your marginal hands.
Buy in deep and you can a) lean on shorter stacks, and b) take more chances.
Besides, I've seen your games, and most people buy-in short. Buy in for the max even then. At least you'll get used to doing it, and you still aren't going to lose more than the largest stack at the table.
Another point of note: if you don't like buying in for the max, what the hell do you do when you win a few pots? Get up and sit back down with the min again? You have to learn to play with a stack eventually, or you're not going to get anywhere.

really important to play with full buy-in.
Sean gave good reasons.

it's not by considering the board that u had in front of you at that moment that determines whether it was bad to raise so weak or not.
You only have AK, you are in the worse possible position (on SB), so you should be happy by just taking the pot right there or make them pay strong to see the flop.

|
it all depends of how much is inside the pot.
I'm surprised $0.80 would buy a $1.8 pot at those stakes...

if you bet and he raises you would consider folding then ?
that would be very bad.
you cant bet $0.80 and then fold for $0.47 more in a $6.27 pot.
Your only move on turn was push...you were committed since you bet on the flop. That's why I said in my previous post that you should have pushed already on flop since almost any bet commits you.

you only had $0.47 so him betting $0.80 or $1Million doesnt change a thing, especially considering the size of the pot.
That bet (whatever his size was) was absolutely giving you no information at all.
So if you are ready to call anyway, just bet it yourself.
