There's a raise button. Use it, a lot.

since the blinds are low, be a calling station and raise anything when u have a decent hand made or preflop. GL.

ehhh went out in 23d place

got crippled when my top pair top kicker (A-Q) got crushed when someone called me down to the river with an AK for a runner runner straight.. (flop was Q-4-7... turn jack, river ten)

then my aces ran into a small set.. i put him on an overpair like kings or queens cause he capped preflop with what turned out to be 4's

then my dumb ass tried to bluff someone with pocket 8s... when there was a pair on the board and he had a piece of the other card on the flop.

oh well

wait for someone to cap w/ just a draw and continue to take advantage of his poor play.

Or, make calling stations continue call away their stacks and fold if they ever raise-since they only do it w/ the nuts.

But seriously folks, there was some really bad advice given here. In fixed limit tournaments, you need to realize how many people just throw away chips and take advantage. You need to play ultra, ultra tight. You will realize that once you get to level 3-4 w/ the betting structure, any hand will get you all in. So it has to be worth putting all your chips in the middle with.

Also, utilize pressure. If you have 3-4x someones stack, your raises really mean something to them. They know that they have limited opportunities and have to pick their spots-since one mistake, and they are done.

The 1st few round of these are usually a crap shoot, if you can get chips, great. But just as important is to hoard chip until the blinds tick up. After round 4-5, unless some bigger stacks get involved, they are just all in contests.
