When it's checked to me? Every time.

Since you're OOP and hes been betting the whole way, theres not much you can do. He doesnt seem scared of the flush being out there, so he either has it, or thinks you dont. Stone cold bluffing the river with no information to the contrary is bad imo, especially at this stage of the tourny and with the pot being pretty small. You played the hand as well as can be expected.
Btw, KJ is my least favorite hand. Acutally, I pretty much hate any hand that has a J in it, except 10Js.

You misread the action completely. He's in position and the aggressor. The AK is the OOP calling station. And if you're going to bluff at a pot and get called, don't you want to do it when the pot is small? Build a bit of an image while it's cheap.

Oh, oops, I thought he has Ohiotrain. In that case you definately bet the river, he checked to you, no way he has a diamond on this obvious board. Make it something worthwhile though, like half the pot.

My first instinct was to check...but I suck at NL and maybe this is where I don't sack up and bet.

If this weren't a $1.00 buy in i would definitely say that a substantial bet on the river might have taken the pot. But in these low buy-in games most of the players do not know well enough to lay down TPTK with a 4 to a flush on the board. I think you made the right play.

I don't think it has anything to do with the other player not seeing the flush possability on the board. I just think villian here didn't put Husky on the flush. Most players in these lower limits tend to think that a four flush is not a hand to come out betting with. That is probably the reason this guy didn't put Husky on a flush draw. Also I personally don't think your going to get the AK to fold no matter what.

KJ is a good hand to play but I wouldn't get so aggressive with it when you could be behind in a hand. Its a better hand to follow betting with then it is to lead. If that make sense.

Personally, I think youplayed the hand fine. Unlike Sean, I hate a bet on that river--it has little to gain, but a lot to lose. Most hearts will call you, and his betting pattern seems to indicate a draw. I'd just mourn your bad luck he played AK so horribly.

At first yes, but then he checks the turn when the diamond hit. Maybe he's trying to sucker a bet out of you by checking, but then he checks again on the River. He either has to reraise or lay it down.
