So, do you guys think PS will continue its rout as the site that produces the ME champion, or will another site step up? Or do you think a pro will finally win it this year?

I'm going against the odds and picking a pro. At least I'd much rather see a pro win it then some random luckbox.

I know who I would like to see win but the chances of it happening are very very slime right now, because I won't be playing in it this year... Laughing. Outside of myself I would really like to see Steve Dannerman take it home this year.... Smile

The Full Tilt promotion (matching the top prize if you win it), probably attracted a number of good players. I'm gonna go with someone who satellites in from there.

its going be a THP'er Smile

maybe not someone who wins the seat off Pacific

but someone from THP will win this year or atleast make the Final table Smile

I'm willing to spend about $1000 more if I don't win the freeroll to try and make the field this year. If nothing else, I plan on playing the 150-seat guaranteed on Stars on July 16.

CaseyATB I know has already qualified.

THPer! We rule! Fool! I'll be pulling for whoever it is from here that makes it, anyway. Go us.

An interesting related question would be to predict the mix between old time pros and online qualifiers at the final table. Two things are going on.

First, I think that some of the pros are learning how to adapt to the play of the amateurs and to large fields of amateurs. These guys are well grounded in the principles, theory, and psychology (unlike yours truly) and are probably well suited to intelligently adapt to the new situations and to adapt tournament strategies.

Second, there is a group that make it deep into tournys multiple times. Harrington, Matusow, Raymer, Krux (don't forget him as a repeater--plus he has a really hot daughter so should be given a pass to the final table so we'll see more of her), Arieh.

Five of the 2004 WSOP players were pros.
