okay im not trying to moan and complain here but here's the situation i was in: heads up play between me and this other person in a sit 'n go; (i always forget to copy the hand history b/c i was mad) blinds were about 750/1500, i had a little over 8600 chips and villain had 4400.

i was dealt: K Heart K Club
...so i move all-in
villain calls me with: A Spade K Diamond

board shows: 2 Spade 8 Spade 9 Spade 4 Club 5 Spade

what are the chances of me losing to a flush like that with my opponent having one spade and catching the other four? im not worried about the overall perecentages, just the chance of me losing the way i lost...

You were about 92% to win.

Because the chips were moved all in PF (I think), the order they come in doesn't matter.

Tough loss.

If you have 2 suited cards in your hand you have about a 1 in 21 chance of hitting a flush. Having 1 suited card, your odds are a lot less. I don't know the exact percentage but i'm guessing its something like .5-1%.

92%?

errr.. isn't it more like 72/28 or something? Because of the overcard?

Yes, my mistake. I always do this.

Mistook it for being AA vs AK.

My bad, Zinn is correct.
