Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 6:31 am GMT by UrAteUp
Should we start a pool of when he will blow his winnings and stop playing poker again?... Laughing Laughing

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 7:41 am GMT by MrDarling
congrats.

Yep, you did say you stopped playing poker for good. But very few here took it seriously , and least of all you.
Its a good sign to see that sometimes, it is better to take a deep breath, and let things cool down before making life changing announcements . Razz

Now, are you really going to spend all this money on poker?
Take at least half out and buy your dad a gift . $100 is as easy to blow off as $216 playing poker.

Obviously good job Huskie but I wonder, will we now get $216 worth of 'bad' beat posts now or will you withdraw it?

At least we'll get our money's worth... or HIS money's worth anyway. Wink

Congrats...

I really think itīs one thing to play when it does not cost you a penny...
Still, itīs quite a different think to really stop playing again when and if the money is lost. You know it better than me I guess.

I know itīs bad taste to ask other people about money but Iīll ask anyway as I am dying to know the updates... How is your account doing? Rolling Eyes

Before you post a single bad beat story, you better post about how you took your dad out to a nice dinner somewhere.

Oh and congrats on the 1st place.

im at 190 right now. im withdrawing 150, because well id like to have some spare cash Smile.

i already sent him back 20 bucks.

i lost a 94 dollar pot in a cash game when my aces lost to pocket 10s, is that a bad beat? Very Mad

Depends on how the hand was played. It could be or it could be bad luck or bad play.... Smile

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:50 am GMT by greathuskie
im sure it was a combination of bad luck and bad play

i raised 6x preflop, 2 callers. worst flop possible came, 6810 with 2 hearts. i bet big he called turn brought a 2 i pushed he called and won.

oh well, get em next time!

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 12:17 pm GMT by LeafsFan1122
At what stakes can you get a 94$ pot with an under 200$ bankroll?

Hmmmm.

Congrats on the win though, good job.

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 1:23 pm GMT by greathuskie
was at a 25nl table, was up to 40 bucks and lost it all on that hand.

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 2:13 pm GMT by LeafsFan1122
I've got over 500$ in my br and I don't play 25NL.

Just a suggestion, but 10NL is a much easier game and way better for your bankroll.

Posted Mon Jul 03, 2006 2:19 pm GMT by greathuskie
ehhh im cashing it all out soon anyway, minus like 20 bucks.

i can cash it out tomorrow, and i think im gonna do that until i buy a few things i need and can save up some cash for other stuff that id like to get, then ill deposit or something, like i said before, whenever i get spare money or a job.

His point is, playing those limits with that BR you may not be able to 'cash it out tomorrow'.
Three bad beats and it can all potentially be gone

Point of order!

you get staked 100% you owe at LEAST half the purse to your benefactor.

20 bucks!!~!!!

Are you kidding?

Nope. You offer $125 or even $150.
(he won't take it anyway, but he'll respect anyone with sense and heart enough to make the offer.)

Posted Sat Jul 29, 2006 3:11 pm GMT by greathuskie
he didnt want any more, he didnt care.

and i did withdraw 100 bucks, but lost the rest. about that playing within my limits thing, one of these days ill do it Razz.

He gives you a full stake into a tourney and you give him $20? You're lucky he didn't take the belt to ya! Laughing
