Hero: A3o in the BB w/ about $600 in front

Just got switched tables and had yet to play against any of the players.

Couple limpers, MP makes it $7 to go, a very small pre-flop raise for this casino.

Ends up with 6 of us seeing a flop.

Flop: AK3 rainbow.

I flop 2 pair with 4 people left to act behind me.

I check.... and it checks around! Crap! I was pretty shocked that no one fired out a bet for me to check / raise.

Turn: K

Pretty much the worst card in the deck. I checked, MP bets out $20 and get a caller before it gets back to me.

I fold.

I then proceeded to get into a big arguement with the player beside me. After the hand I was talking with him and told him how bad I screwed that hand up by not betting the flop. He was shocked that I folded my pair of aces on the turn for only $20. My reasoning, there is no hand that I beat. My ace is outkicked by any other ace, except for a 2 which I split with. Any K beats me so my thinking was that with a bet and a call I was definitly behind either an ace or a king.

Was I right in my thinking or should I have stuck around to see the river card/play?

You hit it right on the money. It's an easy fold.

Don't educate the players you will be taking money off either. This is a clear fold and I would have let the fish think i was wrong.
