just blowin off steam here b/c im horrified at what just happened to me...anyways, im in a tourney and and its down to the last 24 out of 350 people; im in 9th place with about 18K...blinds are around 600/1200 and im dealt pocket aces under the gun. i go all-in and i get one caller who flips up K-3 suited. i figured it was easy money, especially after the flop...
Me: A A
Villain: K 3
Flop: 5 J 6
at this point i have a 96% chance at winning the pot
Turn: 3
i saw the inevitable coming about at this point
River: 3
i just stared at the screen for about 30-40 seconds...
i just couldn't believe it! i suspected that it was gonna happen but didnt think it really would...the worse part about it was when the villain got cocky and arrogant, calling me stupid, and saying he had me beat pre-flop...this hand knocked me out of the tourney too, at least i placed in the money but i could've (should've) doubled up and possibly got more money...any other ways you guys out there think i should've played this hand? should i have pushed preflop?

The only way you could of possibly gotten this guy out of the hand is didnt go all in pre flop and bet the flop huge once it came. He would of folded cause his suit didnt hit im sure. Lossing a race sucks when you have aces but thats poker.

I wouldnt of pushed preflop, AA is too good of a hand to just waste stealing the blinds. Make a raise somewhere between 2-4x the BB and go from there. If you get called, bet big on the flop and then push the rest on the turn.
