Professional Poker Tour on tonight?

Posted Wed Jul 05, 2006 2:27 pm GMT by Raisor
I saw something about a Professional Poker Tour on Wednesdays.

Does it start tonight? Or later...?

Or did I read it wrong all together?

I believe it does start tonight on Travel Channel, 9pm EST.

Aw man. I don't think I get the Travel Channel in my room.

Anyone with Cable know what channel it could be on?

I was very unimpressed. It was nice seeing decent players against eachother on TV, but it was pretty boring. Maybe the later rounds will improve.

I think they have something. No one gets excited about seeing Barry Greenstein against a regional pro and 3 amatuers-but no one wants to see early round action w/ deep stacks and very small pots either.

I thought it was ok. I did like seeing the early rounds when you still have many of the old legends in like Amarillo Slim and others that you just don't see all the time. I was surprised to see some of the donk moves these guys were doing though.

Also any idea what the big stink was with Eskimo's table?

Phil Darden accused him of making a string bet. The dealer agreed, and he was asked to pull back the extra chips.

Another annoying thing is that this tournament happened almost two years ago.

I disagree. I loved seeing the deep stack play and the myriad value bets that come out of that play.

Noli Francisco is still one of the biggest fish I've ever seen.
What was with Raymer's blowup with Q8?
