I would say very easy fold unless you have any info on villain that would suggest otherwise. The smallish bet scares me here.

This could go either way. It is the first level of an SNG. Villian could be playing pp and decided to make it look like a big PP. I can also see the merit in laying it down and picking a better spot to hit.

I think you have to fold. You have no clean outs to scoop in case he has already flopped a str8 (I know this is somewhat unlikely, but still...).

As an aside, I would not have re-popped preflop with your hand. IMO, you don't want to create a big pot that you might get stuck in when you could be drawing thin or just a small favorite. I like the first raise, but I think once he re-raises you want to get to showdown cheaply unless you hit a monster. That may sound ultr-conservative, but you are out of position against a re-raiser, and I play SPP with QQ in that spot once he re-raises you.

I think this is good advice. Hands like QQ or JJ could be behind with a board like this so it seems like shorn said, get in as cheaply as possible so you can get out cheaply as well.

The more I think about this hand the more I am inclined to agree with majority. Yes you do have some outs but I don't think I would stick around to find out if you get them or not. The same outs you need could also improve villian as well here.

Lay it down.

Yeah I'd let it go. I don't like the smallish bet here either. He definately doesn't seem to want you to fold.

Fold. You have no clean outs. You effectively have about 2-3 outs. And you are probably behind.

i think you have 6 outs...4 jacks, 2 queens....i'd put him on a big ace....i'd fold tho....pot is now 900, 200 to call...not worth it....so you're being offered a 2 in 11....when i think you have a 1 in 8 chance of winning on the turn...its also implied that he will continue betting since he has shown strength thus far, so i doubt you'll get a free river...and i dont think your implied odds are good enuf if you hit....not to mention that there is a fair chance that a queen won't help you

on the flop, i prolly would've bet into the pot for info even tho i would figure i'd be beaten...in the hopes that the other guy had a middle pp and would fold....otherwise, he's going to bet and you will have to assume (like you are) that you are beat...prolly 60/40 bet vs check...if i bet and he plays back, i'm out...if he calls, i hope to hit the turn...any bets from there on out, i fold if i havent hit anything....this person would have to be pretty suicidal if they play back at you *again* w/ a worse hand than yours

granted blind battles make ppl think their hand is stronger, but i'd still bet he has a big ace, at the very least a middle ace or kqs

Don't forget how dirty the board is for your hand too. Even if you hit one of your outs, there's a decent chance you're either corrupted (you hit Q and he's got AJ) or you end up splitting (you hit J and he's also got a Q).

So, your odds are reduced even more by the possibility of a split. I'm with everyone else, fold.

Its the first hand of the tourny, so theres at least some significant chance hes completely bluffing here, i'd say around 25% or so. That being said, with the amount of chips going into the pot already, theres a pretty good chance you'll end up being all in at the end.
I really would of bet out on the flop though, checking on that board just screams weakeness, you wouldnt be slow playing AA or KK on that flop. You're basically telling him you can't beat a pair of aces, please bet at me so I can fold.
With that knowledge, villans bet is actually very good, its small enough that he can get away if you had been dumb and slow played and if you didnt have that great of a hand you pretty much have to fold.
So while this is a great hand for him to bluff at, I don't like risking a big chunk of my stack to find out if he'll make another bet on the turn, at which point you have to fold unless you hit a J or Q.

I've seen players who reraised preflop with pocket nines. And in the first hands of a SNG players often go crazy. Nevertheless it's unlikely that you are facing two complete donks at the same time. Its very likely that at least one of them got an ace or a king. And since priority number one in the early stage of an SNG is to survive I would strongly recommend to fold. Not an easy laydown (nobody likes to fold QQ) but a wise one.
