Today, I was bored of playing guitar so I logged onto Party Poker and decided to play a $10+1 670 man tourny just to kill time. ( I usually just play SnG's and Cash Games ).
And I placed 6th! And I took $268 for my time. It was my first final table and was knocked out with a pre-flop all-in with 2 2 ( 1 of the 3 short stacks ) against A5 ( Chip Leader ).
I am to tired to get into specifics but I am really excited. Not really so for the money, but the fact that I beat 664 players amazes me.
Just needed to share with you all. Thanks.
Kevin
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Thanks for the support. But since I have my new found interest, what bankroll should I have to be playing tournaments?

Congratulations. The MTT are a lot of fun on party poker. There is a 10+1 20K guaranteed there every night. As far as bankroll I would guess you would need around $300-$400 if you are planning on playing 10+1 Tournaments. It's so hard to consistently cash in those things.

If you planned on only playing MTTs, then I would suggest having 50-100 buy-ins.
If you just want to play them once and a while, then I would say 30-40.
