How would you play this?

I faced a hand today that I was not sure how to play, perhaps some people could offer what they think. We were playing blinds $10/$20 with 4 people left playing. I was holding 2S 2C to start out and called the big blind. The next guy calls then the next guy raises $25 and forced the BB to fold. I decide to call and the dealer also calls.

So basically there is $155 in the pot I have 2S 2C, there are 3 left and I am in the middle of the action.

The flop comes up 4S 4C QC and the first guy to act (same guy that raised Pre-flop) bets $25.

The action is on me at this point I was not exactly sure the best way to play this hand. Yes I have 2 pair but my pocket pair is low and there is a pair on the board. I folded and would have caught a fullhouse with a 2 on the river but I am uncertain as to what the correct play was in this case.

Would the pot odds be in my favor here or not?

I need more information. What kind of a player is your opponent?

I would probably raise or fold here.

The player that bet tends to be a tight/aggressive player. The dealer is more of a loose/passive player.

I was stuck between a raise and a fold myself due to the players I was with.

He made a very weak flop bet. Is that something he normally does? If so, with what kind of hands?

With him being last to act he will often make small bets with midranged hands for example J/7 Q/8 K/9, suited cards, or small-mid pairs.

After his bet on the flop I was reading him at Q/8 or something similar as his way of testing the water and looking to see if anyone had caught the set.

With that read, I'd raise it to $150 if I'm confident he'll lay down a weak queen or pocket pair.

Yeah I was thinking along that lines as well but I had been doing well all day by winning pots before the river to the point that the others were seeing me as constantly bluffing. I believe that if he had a decent hand he would have likely called me down.

It felt like one of those hands that I could either win a decent amount or lose a lot, so I am not too upset with my play.

If I were to face this situation again regardless of the players I was playing against I am uncertain as to whether or not the pot odds or implied odds would be in my favor here.

This is one of the few hands that I have played that I was quite uncertain as to how it should be best played.

I think you played this hand right pre-flop for sure.
I agree with Johny after that. The best thing to do might have been to call the flop bet and see what hits on the turn or river. Push when you know you have the nut hand.
