Ok I was talking with someone on IRC last night about this hand. I think I played it well but got a little worried at the end. Anyhow, I was told it is not a bad move to call a 5xBB bet with hands like 25s or others like this. Is this a bad call by a player to call while looking at a 5xBB raise?
Over all how was my play here? I backed off when I saw the 3rd spade hit and thought maybe I was being setup by villian checking on the river, so I just checked after the river.

i was thinking hands like 34s maybe
but 56s+ and 97s+ defiently to call with
specially at lower limits where people just cant fold when they hit 1 pair

Looks fine to me. I don't see too many reasons to bet the river as unless he has a waker Ace, he won't call you with any hands you can beat. I say well played throughout.

if 3 or 4 people call a 5x pre-flop raise, I'd rather have suited connectors than AK, AQ, KK etc...

I really can't understand what so good about 25s...
its a crappy flush if you hit it, and chances for a str8 are even more remote.
