NL cash game, 5 handed
Villain is on the button. a fairly tight, solid pre-flop player but isnt scared to go with his instincts in a pot and will go all-in on a (semi) bluff if he has to.. doesnt mind to bluff or play a hand a bit tricky.
villain stack: €35
my stack: €30
blinds are €0.10 - €0.20
Im in the big blind holding pocket 99. it gets folded around to the button who raises to 4X BB. SB folds, i call.
flop 9c-Jc-2h
I check, villain bets €1.50....
what do I do?
I am not THAT happy with the way i played it in hindsight, but i will of course drop resluts later on after i read some possible comments.

Raise to 4$.

Hmmm...well, I would have led at the flop for like 1/2 the pot to get things going. The best way to get a raiser's stack is to lead and then hope to re-raise him if he raises behind you. Checkraising (as I assume you are planning on) gives him a chance to get away cheaper if he is solid. Also, leading protects your hand somewhat if he has a draw on the board (which he might raise too) as betting 1/2 pot doesn't give him the odds to call on the next card.
Anyway, now that you have checked and he bets, I think I just smooth call and hope a club doesn't fall on the turn. I take the chance that he isn't holding AKc and I also give him one shot at his two outer here and hope an overcard doesn't beat me. If a blank comes on the turn, I probably lead at him, but depending upon my remaining stack size and the opponent, I might try for the CR (probably not though) all-in. The ptoblem with that though is that if he holds AK and doesn't improve, u won't make any more $$.
Interested to see how you played it and how it turned out.

This is exactly what i was trying to do...... i called him hoping no club would fall cause it could kill my action a bit, or worse, give my oponent a flush
so i call the €1.50 bet
turn: 5c
i bet out €3... he raises me to €6... i move all-in in case he has the A-J or something with the ace of clubs.
he thinks for a looong while and folds
and he did have A-J

Again, the action killing is yet another reason to lead on the flop. You get him to commit more money when he thinks you might be drawing and he is still ahead and then when the club hits he might even feel pot commited (depending on the size of the pot).
There is definitely a time to slowplay hands in NL. But, big hands like yours are made to play big pots...you want to stack him on this hand and the best way to do that is lead and re-raise, especially with a draw on the board. If he only has AK and folds on the flop to your re-raise (after he raise bluffs your flop bet which a lot of players do with AK), then you weren't going to make a lot of $$ anyway. But, if he holds AA-QQ here, you might get him to push as a monster dog which is what you are looking for.

i would of CheckRiased on the flop
then lead out on the turn

If your opponent really is that kind of tricky player player he surely wouldn't make a big bet on the flop with a draw or a set. He is very likely to have top pair. Or less if hes bluffing. So check-raise or donk-bet to trap him.

what is this "donk-bet" you speak of?
