My very first hand at this table. I posted a forced blind so that's why I was even in this hand. What do you do. You have top pair and a lousy kicker. Check/call all the way? bet out and fold to any raise? Any advice would be appreciated as this is one of the hands i usually end up losing with by getting outkicked.

At this level you'll often find people limping with some pretty paint or pockets. QT through KQ will be common here, and you'll see worse Qs from worse player alot too.
With this board texture you aren't beating much except pure bluffs or a real LAG, few semi-bluff draws out there.
If I want to continue in the hand I probably raise flop to (hopefully) steal pos, if he calls I fold/check behind on a whiffed turn.
If that is 'a good move' I don't know, but its what I do atleast.
Barring reads that the player is very aggro OOP, or that the game itself is very aggro, I don't really like taking TPNK to showdown for 2.5 big bets more in most likely 5-6BB total pot, (hero calls removed) in an (almost) full ring game, esp when he isn't likely to be semibluffing either.

raise flop. Like tame said you'll probably grab position with it. Shut down after that (unless you really feel like you can get a lone person off a hand). You have little showdown value so you should probably consider raising with a fold should any more action come your way - check calling after that point may save you some money. Some would fold earlier.
