Harman VS Andy Beal.

Limits: 30k-60k FL HE

Jen had KQ, Andy had KTs. Flop comes AJT with some spades, I think.

Betting is capped all the way through, I think and Andy doesn't improve.

Result: Jen takes down the biggest cash game pot in recorded poker history.

Some games allow 5-6 raises until a cap instead of the usual 4, some games offer an unlimited amount of raising on the river. There are different variations of ways that the pot could have built up so high and you have no idea any of the rules being enforced. This was the hand where it happened.

keep in mind, their blinds and 30,000/60,000

lets go to math class

at 4 bets

preflop with 4 bets is 120k a piece, makes the pot 240k

since the stakes are the same on the flop as they are preflop its another 240k

makes the pot 480k after the flop

4 bets on the turn is 240k...so add another 480 to that and you have

960k

another 480k on the river makes for almost 1.5million, so i dont know what happened if they were able to get to 1.7

They could have scooped a few BBs PF.

If it was the 30k/60k game with Andy Beal, then it was probably HU.

Didn't a few of the pros play some 100k/200k against Beal too? You would think that would have resulted in the biggest pot ever.

when u talk about stakes in FL, the first figure is the big blind and the 2nd is the big bet

so the blinds were 15K and 30K...unless leafs messed up :)

very good point SQUID F*CKED UP!

Round 1 capped = 300,000 (5 bets x2)
Round 2 capped = 300,000 (5 bets x2)
Round 3 capped = 600,000 (5 bets x 2)
Round 4 capped = 600,000 (5 bets x 2)

Total =1.80 million

If they just went 4 bets preflop, then you only get to 1.74 million.

Most live games allow a bet and 4 raises, or 5 bets. Some even have a 6 bet cap preflop because of the blind already on the table.

I know at the boat here when it goes heads up the raising is unlimited.
