I was looking on PartyPoker to see what the Freerolls were all about. I was interested in a Rookie Daily Freeroll for $150. Are these actually free to enter and you can win cash if you qualify ITM?
There is no risk?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. No risk at all, it's completely free.

Excellent, maybe I'll try my hand then. It would be good experience for me, eventhough it may slow my BR rebuild.

Played my first one last night. I finished 550th out 1677. Okay for my first one I guess. I can only get better. I played loose on some hands I definitely should not have. Lost my patience a few times and called some hands I shouldn't have. Learn from them.

Your sanity is always at risk on freerolls Johny.... . Makes you wonder when your playing a monster and push with it and some donk calls and hits a one outer to put you out....that will push your sanity to it's limits....

Well, I played the $300 Beta Freeroll on PP last night and finished 646 out of 10,000 registered. I played very tight and loosened up at the wrong time. I need to learn from those times. I had AQ, villain had AK. That's the luck of the cards I guess.
I have to keep hoping for freerolls due to low bankroll at the moment.

just a note , Freeroll are a great wait to make a little money or qualify for bigger tourneys but are not good to learn from.
most players on freeroll don't know how to play. More often then not, you'd get busted out while holding the better hand but get out drawn.
If you are secure with your play, play them and profit from them. If not, just donīt learn from them too much.
I played a lot of freerolls before depositing for the first time. Since then I played very few.. My BR is very low at the moments. Iīm still struggling to make the deposit bonus on Fulltilt and struggling to built something from a small start at PS.
But I much prefer to struggle the low / micro level pokers then going into freerolls again.

Yes, it is clear that there are reckless players and some maniacs involved in the freerolls on PP. I realize that and figure that if I get outdrawn, it didn't cost me anything to lose that tourny, and move on to teh next one. I guess it is a personal thing to try to increase my postiion every time and get familiar with some of the poeple who play them regularly to learn their style, normally maniacs. I play very tight in these freerolls normally until I have what I think is a sure thing and then it is a toss-up as to whether I get outdrawn. I am not learning from other players, I am learning from myself.
Thanks MrDarling.

Freerolls are completely free, but you've gotta withstand a ton of bull to cash.
