Has anybody heard anything about EuroBet not allowing Americans to play on their site? I think this is due to the American anti poker legislation going through right now. I was in a bit of a crunch because I was trying the get into the Ongame Classic. After looking into it I found out about a new site called Tower Gaming and made my way to the Classic through them. I’m wondering if this is the beginning of a new trend, or if EuroBet is going too far. Are any other poker or casino sites not allowing Americans to play?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

In regards to your poll, the word is that it probably won't get through the Senate. That shouldn't stop poker players from letting their Senator know how they feel though. Everyone should visit the Poker Players Alliance and consider becoming a member, and if you're American you should definitely send an email to your Senator through the PPA.
Btw, I'm allowed to spam.

If this is a recent development, I wonder if it has anything to do with this: http://business.guardian.co.uk/story/0,,1823717,00.html
Feds nabbed a Brit in texas as he was passing through the US. Summary: Transactions with the company were illegal by terms of the Wire Act but the party was outside feds juristiction.... until he had a layover in texas. As soon as he was on US turf, they grabbed him. So I wonder if this may have shaken other UK based operations. Apparently so, as suggested by the articles I linked to in post below.
As to sites not allowing US players... highly doubt any of the larger established operations would ever do so. There's far too much money involved.
