Marshall Eliminates Rashid
Sam Rashid pushes all-in for around $7,000 from under-the-gun and is called by Adam Marshall in the big blind. Marshall flips over AclubQclub and Rashid has QdiamondQheart. The flop comes 10spade10heart4club and Rashid's Queens are still in the lead. The turn comes the Aspade which puts Marshall in the lead with a pair of Aces. The river is the 2heart and Rashid is eliminated from the tournament.

Looks like he's sitting 11th now with 83 left (of 2050) on a stack of 57600. They're on break now.
For those intrested:
Payout structure for this tourney is here, but I'm sure Adams more intrested in the bracelet.

Adam just moved into 3rd with 94k!
Update, slipped to 5th with 86k.

Lopez All-in, Splits Pot When Opponent Hits Set?
Efrain Lopez is all-in with A Q against Adam Marshall's 8 8 . After the turn, the board is Q J 3 A giving Lopez two-pair. The river gives Marshall his set of 8's, however, it's the 8 putting a flush on the board and they split the pot.

Crazy hand.

Made a mistake and it cut my stack down to <5 M and I called an aggressive player with AQs. He had aces that particular time though. Left me with 8000, where 1000 went into the next ante and 7000 went into the next blind and ante. Didn't win that hand though.
Got fairly drunk afterward. Sorry Phil that I didn't make it to Caesar's to meet up, but I just wanted to bitch to Sal and not go out in the 90 degree heat.
25th outta 2050 ain't too bad though I guess. There's always the main event...

No worries Adam, awesome job BTW. I understand you didn't want to make it out to donk it up with me at the low limits here
You should have told me you were doing so well, I might've been able to make it over some time and sweat you a little. But I guess calling me was probably the last thing on your mind. Good luck the rest of the way.

Oh man, I missed all the drama
Another great showing Adam, every year you have at least one great finish - it's only a matter of time before your wrist is adorned by gold. Fine work :D

Great job Adam. That must have been really exciting for you. Are you entered for any other events?
Posted Mon Jul 24, 2006 3:04 pm GMT by Adam Marshall
Ya, I'm playing the $1500 NLH tomorrow and the main event. The Bellagio is also running their "Bellagio Cup II" tournaments which are mostly $1000+80 NLH, which I might check out.

I play maybe two other WPT events every year. I usually only play the one main event in those though. At the WSOP I get to play more events. The rest of the year I play online and in a weekly home game, smart ass.
Btw, Jennifer Tilly will be 48 in September.

Just wondering why you're so silent about all that. I have no idea what stakes/game you play and I doubt many others here do, either.
Posted Tue Jul 25, 2006 1:21 am GMT by groton
yah Tilly is the age of my Mom and Madanna 1958
by the way Adam u play the WPF at Foxwoods since its the closest WPT to You?
Posted Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:00 am GMT by Adam Marshall
I talk about it...there was a post about when General Sal and I went to play the WPT event in Reno in March...there was a cheer thread when I played the Mirage WPT event a year and a half ago...(couldn't find it)...and when we all went to the Festa al Lago...I think there was something when I played at the Bike...? I guess I just don't post every single time I play a big event.
The closest WPT is probably in Atlantic City, 5 hour drive. Foxwoods is around 8 away. I really am not a fan of AC though, I'd sooner just go to Canada to play. I should go to Foxwoods, but something always seems to come up around that time of year. I think if I go anywhere new, it'll be Tunica. I've heard a ton of great things about that place.
Posted Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:38 am GMT by Sean_in_NJ
If you ever decide to come to AC, let me know. I missed you guys on my last Vegas trip, and I could at least say "Hi" as you went off to play the WPT while I donked off some cash at 6/12.
