Well, I finally decided to man up & enter a WSOP event.
I'm playing event # 37 in the morning - It is a 3 day event (I'm just hoping it is more than a 1 day event for me). :D
$1,500 Hold-em is the event.
Kind of nervous/excited right now!

I bet you don't fall asleep tonight. It's hard for me to fall asleep when there a tourny the next day. No matter how big the pot is, and the WSOP. I wouldn't be able to sleep at all.

TR1988...good to see you again. Good luck to both you and Adam at that event. Go play your best both of you and I am sure you'll both finish ITM.
Just watch out for those Arron Kanters...

Hope you're doing better than me TR1988, cause I'm out because of TT.
Time for me to bitch...
50/100, I've got about 2400 (you start with 1500). Three limpers to my button. I've got TT, I raise to 300. One of the early position limpers calls. Flop is JJ9 with two diamonds. Other dude pushes in his last 600. I call. He flips 6d5d for a flush draw (I've got the ten of diamonds too). Turn 6. River 6. Runner-runner boat.
---
I rebuild to about 2000, blinds are now 100/200.
Everyone folds to me in the cutoff where I've got TT again. I make it 600 to go. Small blind (who just came to the table, announced he's going to be aggressive, and has probably 6K in chips) throws in a call. Big blind folds. Flop comes T 9 x . He asks how much I have, I tell him 1375 and he goes all-in. Would you make that call? I shouldn't have. He flips A 8 . Turn J . River 7 . Runner-runner straight.

Sorry Adam.... Not much better on this front.
Here is my recap of the tourney :
Start with 1500 chips. Blinds go up every hour (pretty slowly). Blinds start at 25/25 and then go to 25/50 after an hour.
First Hand I play, I raise to $75 one off of the button with AJ. Only the Big Blind calls. Flop comes 10 5 4. I check, he bets $200, I fold. I was also one of the blinds earlier, so I am down to $1400.
I then get 66 from early position and limp in. No raises, so I see the flop for $25. Flop comes 4 5 7. Guy bets 125 and 2 of us call. Turn comes another 4 and I come out betting $200. 2 guys call. River comes a 9 and we all check. I show my 66, one guy folds and the other guy is playing 78 suited from middle position. Yuck.
Now I have around 1000. I get 99 and limp in for 25. Flop comes Q 10 10 and 3 of us check. Turn comes a 8 and a guy bets 200 & I fold. Winner ends up having AQ.
Now I have 975. I get KK and raise to 200 (Blinds still 25/25) & everyone folds. Probably raised too much, I dunno.
Now I have 1025. Blinds are now 25/50 (It is 1 hour in). I get K4 on the small blinds and everyone folds. I raise the big blind to 125 and he calls. Flop comes 10 9 5 and I bluff 300 and he folds.
Now have about 1200 and dont play anyhands for awhile. I am down to 1100 and get 10 10, one off the button. I raise to 250 and the big blind calls. Flop comes 3 4 5 and I bet $250, big blind goes all in & I have to call as I only have 600 left. He has 33 (for a set of 3's) and I am out.

I don't think you have to call there. With an overpair I don't mind the raise, but I think you can fold here. Was the BB defending a lot?

Why would you ever fold top set there? The absolute worst scenario for you is being a 60-40 fav.... I think you getting your money in as about a 73% favorite to win is a pretty good situation!
Tough beat for sure, but I woulda beat him in the pot

You might be right, since I figured I was behind.... Just was frustrated & thought I couldn't do anything with 600 chips & thought there was a chance he was pushing me around. He was new to the table, so I knew nothing about his play.

Tough break guys. Sorry to hear your luck went bad. I hope the next events you both play go better for you. If nothing else bust out and go find the "Big Game" then get your money back from those players...
