Hey guys...
I won a $250 pot today in a home tournament at my friend's house and just had to go tell someone about it. I'm still so excited my hands are shaking.
Alright, so it was me and this one other guy left, I was up slightly with roughly $140 to his roughly $110. My hand on big blind was a 4 8 . He calls, I check. Flop comes up, King 5 7 . I bet $20, he raises to $35, I call. Turn comes up, 6 . So at this point I have the straight flush and am about to pee myself with the effort of containing my joy. I check, he bets $20, I call. River comes up King . I check, hoping to build his confidence, he bets $40, I push him all in, he calls.
He grins as he flips over his cowboys for the quad kings...I felt so bad for him when I turned over my straight flush. I don't know what the guy did but he immediately got up and went outside and we heard a pretty loud bang on the wall after that.
So this was pretty much the most amazing game of poker I've ever seen, much less played.
Sorry, that's probably pretty boring to yall, but I just had to go share this with someone. I'm so happy :D

I would have checked the turn. But once the King hit I would have pushed too.
There were 3 kings out, so it was unlikely you had a king aswell.
I'm guessing the pot was around $80 when he reraised you only $15 more, giving you good pot odds to call a straight/flush draw.
And from my experiences, most people try to slowplay their flush. I would have been scared when that club hit.

Er, well there were 2 kings out on the board, and he had the other 2 in the pocket, so he knew there was no way I had a king and likely didn't even notice the possibility for a straight flush in this hand, due to the fact that it's usually safe to assume you've got the hand won if you have quad anything.

You're talking about if you were him you would have been scared? I probably would have too; that's why I checked on the turn. But apparently he was fairly confident in his trip kings at that point, since he bet. I tried to look like I was making a tough decision on the turn call, since I didn't want him to think I had the flush. Hopefully, if I did my acting right, he thought I was holding the other king with a decent kicker or maybe a two pair. When the river came up, obviously I didn't have the other king, so he could have thought I was holding the flush here and not cared, since quads beat a flush.
I don't think the possibility of a straight flush even entered his mind; when you've got quads, you just get that feeling like you gotta play em. Plus, I'd have probably called too, I mean, what are the odds I was holding a straight flush? Not very high; probably were I him I would have thought I just had a decent high-card flush.
