What can I improve on how I played this? |

25c-25c PL im in the room for 35 minutes and have recognised some weak players and some who seem pretty solid. I've built a solid table image by showing down KK and TT early after playing those hard.
I have A 8 in the cutoff and the person behind the UTG and someone in middle position limp in. I basically treat Ax suited as a drawing hand unless my kicker is J or higher. I limp. The button folds. Both blinds call. I hit a very nice flop:
A K 8
I've hit middle two pair and I've got the best position. Everyone checks before me. I make a pot size raise trying to represent something like A2o or A3o or just rags, making it look like I want to win the pot right there. I get called by the early position player and the big blind. The other two fold. The Turn comes
Q
That's a card i like to see. I wouldn't like to see a K there or a T, 9 or maybe a J. With the Q there's the outside possibility the opposition was drawing to an inside with JT. To see where I stand I bet twice the size of the pot. The big blind folds and the EP calls. Right here I think Im still the better hand. The River comes..
A Ive now made a full house and any flush draw now has a made hand. I still want to represent A-small so I overbet the pot (four times the size). I get raised all-in. With only AK or AQ that can beat me it's an easy call. The EP shows down A Q and cripples my stack.
How would you have played this? Should I have premeditated this? I never limp in with hands like AQs or am I projecting my reality on that of others?

U played it fine. Some hands you just go broke.

I agree with shorn here. This was one of those hands where you had to go broke.

You're not getting him to fold his AQ, especially on the turn. You're not going to fold your boat. It's just one of those hands. Don't beat yourself up about it. Sometimes destiny is a b*tch.
