Card Player magazine. Anyone read it?

The answer is probably yes. I recently took at look at this for the first time in the local book store, and was quite pleasently surprised. I considered a subscription and checked out the prices. $20 for one year in America, wow thats cheap, unfortunately Im a canuck. So I look to the canadian subscription price, $80!!!! How the hell do they justify this outrageous price hike? Needless to say this soured me on what is an otherwise great publication. Any Canadians actually pay this to subscribe? Worth it?

Wow, $80... That's way too much. Though I don't subscribe, I have a few editions that I've read. There are some great articles in them and if the price was cheaper, I'd probably considering subscribing as well.

All-In is another good magazine and more inline to what a mag should cost.

Can't you read each articles from the magezine on their website?

CardPlayer is excellent. You can read the majority of the magazine (including archives) on their website for free. Just go to the site and click on "Magazines" and you can search current issues, archives, search by topic & by author. You can even access some of the CardPlayer Europe issues I think. Read online = +EV. Print off and read at work while getting paid = ++EV :D

I've been reading CP on their site for free. Do they withhold some articles from the website?

I don't think you can get all the CP Europe on the site & they might withold some other stuf.....I don't think every single article is included either, but most of the ones by featured writers are. But who cares, .........I've read several year's worth of the magazine over the last year and I've never had to buy the paper.
