Moderators, I don't think this is an appropriate topic for discussion.

If I can add my two cents, I am 20 years old but I look much younger (probably 16 or 17). My first time in a casino (Keep in mind I am from Canada so you only have to be 19) they inspected my ID for an extremely long time before letting me enter. If this is any indication of the casinos in your area, a fake ID might end you up in trouble. I have heard of people getting in trouble with the law for attempting to use another persons ID.

I used to work Casino Securty at Foxwoods Smile

And when we get a Fake ID or someone useing someone else ID we would call the State Police on them.
and they would get arresteted so yes it can end you up in trouble and any decent Securty person can spoke a Underage person from a mile away
When I go to a bar or one of the Casino's I still can spot them Smile

Damn i guess I should wait but i just dont get how like phil ivey and jennifer harmon can get away with it and i cant. Is it because security was advanced compared to today?

We used to be able to make fake ids by standing in front of a huge cut out board, taking a picture and having it laminated.

IDs are much tougher to copy today.

Try not to compare yourself to Ivey and Harmon... They could bluff the security any time Smile

And, I was from Kansas Wink

Later on, I was Gary Weidmeier, 6'4" and 250lbs (real state ID of someone else). At the time, I was 5'10" and 170-180. It was a good thing I looked old.

You should have seen the liquor store guy's face who sold me 4-5 kegs a week for 3 years when I became legal. He said "Hey Gary" and I said, "You can start calling me Dave, I am 21 now".

I did much of the same thing. I've been going to the same lcbo (ontario liqour store) 2 minutes away from my high school since I was 16. I've always looked kind of old and I had been carded only once there in the 3 years it took me to get legal. When I was nineteen I came back there, the bar I went to weekly and the pool hall that I frequent and I got a whole bunch of laughs all around when they realized I had been 19 for all of, like, a week.

As someone who was an underager 'til recently, the best advice I can give is to just not do it. Much of the time, 'fakes' are just borrowed IDs from other people. A casino environment is a tricky one: I'm sure we've all heard the story of the kids who use fake IDs to get in, then win the bad beat jackpot. Sorry folks, you lose.

A friend of mine was turning into something of a hobbyist poker player, before he was 21. He gave me updates for a while on how he was doing at the low limits at the casinos.

I lost touch with him, but talked to him a few months later, and asked how the bankroll was doing. He replied "gone." The casino, even though he had become a pseudo-regular, caught him using his fake, and I don't remember the exact fines, but I do believe it was in the ballpark of $2000. That'll put a pretty serious damper on a 3/6 player's bankroll.

If you must do it, it's not hard to find IDs to try. Just ask the kids at your school that always seem to be buying liquor.

To an extent, yes.
Clearly THP does not encourage nor promotes illegal gambling. I'm surrprised this thread was not deleted long ago. The threads now locked, and I'm only leaving it intact now because actual information has been provided, and it can serve our "that's a no-no" message.
