Two things happened the other day |

I was playing $1/$2 the other day, and these two things happened.
1. for the first time in my life i hit a straight flush, I had 6, 7 d, flop came 5 d, 8d, 8c, i was betting on the draw, the turn came Ks, and on the river 4d hit... i couldn't believe it, this guy went all in for $36 and i was more than happy to call...took a while to sink in, i had to go for a little walk just to reflect..
2. I learnt to fold AK... there was a raise to $7, then a raise to $17 and then an all-in for $47.. then came to me with AKos.. in the past I would have called this without hesitation, but it is only AK and I am most likely behind so I folded... it turned out that I would have split the pot by getting a king on the river but I think it was a good fold...
