I have started to dabble in limit holdem. As I've read here the Party Poker jackpot tables are a bad place to play. I agree as people never fold regardless of what they have and not even a jackpot draw on the table.
I notice that this happens on the non jackpot tables too. My question is this, why even play this and if I continue to play should I just wait for the big cards like AA, KK, QQ, AK to open? I'm sick of having the best hand only to keep losing on the river.

Premium hands are still premium hands, just don't expect them to win even 50% of the time, b/c, well they might not. Devalue hands like KTo, QJo, etc. Hands that have multiway straight and flush potential are your big money makers, so big suited broadway and small pairs/suited connectors getting in cheap. Remember: when you're opponents don't fold their crappy draws while getting bad odds, you make money.

The problem is when you get into the 3-4 way pots and 3 of them have draws. 1 of them is likely to hit.

The other problem is, you forget that when you're drawing to the nuts, you'll get a nice, big pot.

In that situation I definitely want to be drawing the nuts instead of holding the overpair.

No you don't. At least not unless you're holding the nuts.
