I was looking through Poker Tracker and saw a place where it showed your aggression factor. What is an appropriate aggression factor? My total aggression factor is 8.48. Is this really high? low? What is your aggression factor? Thanks.
Edit- My flop aggression factor is 11.86
Turn aggression factor is 6.40
River aggression factor is 3.06
How do these stats look?
Also, this is 6 max NL.

it says below where your AF is displayed that below 0.7 is tight and above 1.5 is aggressive, im assuming 8.6 is very aggressive. Mine is 2.6, although i have only kept track of three tournaments thusfar. If anyone has more info on exactly what solid numbers are I would appreciate knowing.

I dunno how many hands u've played but that is very (maybe too) high.
It also depends on which stakes u play. It might be profitable at low stakes (although u will get burnt bad when variance hits u), but at higher stakes (NL400 or above) that will definitely be too aggressive. People wont let you walk over them and will play back at you...which will eventually bring you HUGE swings.
Then again I'm curious to know how many hands u have in your database.

A friend of mine has a similar AF at the party shorthanded tables and he is a winner, but he is only playing NL200 and below.

I think a lot of the higher number here has to do with the fact that he plays 6 max. Maybe?

It basically means you either bet, raise or fold most of the time, and that you call very rarely.
I'd say these stats are too aggressive even for low stakes 6-max, but like Scan said this depends on how big a samplesize for hands you have.
If you are hyperaggressive is abit hard to say, because if I remember correctly pokertracker ranks folding as an 'aggressive' move. But you don't call much atleast.
Calling is pretty sweet in NL. Give it a try.

I use Poker Office so I'm not sure if they compute AF the exact same, but with a little over 10k hands on 25NL, 50NL, and 100NL I have
3.0 flop
3.5 turn
3.0 river
This is full ring.
