Which stakes for my BR?

Posted Mon Jul 31, 2006 1:38 pm GMT by mooseontheloose
Okay, guess this is sort of beginner.

If I have $50, which stakes should I start at? I originally thought .2/.4 (that's $5 NL, being $5 max buy-in) correct? The move up to $10 NL (.5/.10) when I got to around $100-$150?

Am I correct or should I start even lower at .1/.2 ($2 NL correct?)

Reason I ask is I'm deciding between Doyle's and PS - Doyle's only has .2/.4 and PS has .1/.2

Thanks

You're saying correct to me starting at the .2/.4 tables with a $50 bankroll?

(just to confirm what the correct was directed at hehe)

Because .2 = 20c Wink

With $50 I'd start at 01c-02c just because the swings can be so big at those limits.

lol oops, my bad Smile

SO, with $50 the $0.02/0.04 ($5 NL) tables are over my head?

Just checking cause I'd always heard 10x the buy-in is best.

10 buy-ins is fine.

Whoops, guess I wasn't aware.

.02/.04 is $8NL so I guess my $50 would be a little low.

Wanna do a lot of SnGs but for cash I guess I should be at .01/.02, which is $5NL correct?
