i may have found a job at school, if i did im going to deposit something small at pokerstars and play a few 1 dollar tournaments.
the thing is, when i play some of them im going to tape a piece of paper or something over my hole cards so i cant see them, and see how far in the tournament i can make it playing completely off of what the other people have (will be hard in a 1 dollar tourney...)
anyone ever done this before? anyone want to try it?

Doyle Brunson once commented that he could play poker without looking at his hole cards as long as his opponent didn't know that he hadn't looked.
Two things immediately spring to mind however....
1: You're not Doyle.
2: I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about $1 tourneys.

i think it would be fun, and you can play whatever stakes you want, i obviously donthave the cash to do this at a 20 dollar MTT soooo ill stick to low

im out in 29 minutes.
played mostly hands from LP, folded AA and AKs from EP, considering i couldnt see them.
on final hand, this guy was check-calling me so i pushed on the turn, he called with pocket 5s, there was 3 overcards to teh board, and well apparently i didnt have one of those cards cuz i lost.

Gulp... I'll stick up for Husky once. He was playing blind so he did not know he was folding these hands. I'm guessing he went thru the hand history to find out.

I know he did. But the point is that wierdofreek explained that huskie bitches about donks and his beats all the time, and now huskie all of a sudden plays like one (to the eyes of other people at least). That is what freek said, and in the most recent comment by huskie, he says something along the lines of 'how is this thread about turning into a donk'? I answered with a quote.

you know this iexperiment /i is great for someone who is already a great player and kill at poker any time , any level. Its a way to improves one skill over cards.
However, if one can't really win with cards what make you think one can win without?
If you want to do something similar , watch taped poker games while covering the hole cards display and try to put players on a hand.
Doing this while watching pro play, your chances of actually learning anything are much bigger then the amount of effort you need to invest in it. So pot odds are favorable.
And last, so someone doesn't agree with you or even attacks you online, how does it make you the better person if you start going bonkers?
