I just watched the Battle of the Sands (or whatever) covered by fox. It was supremely bad coverage. The poker was good, but the announcer was DRIVING ME NUTS. Lederer was there and they should have just gave the mic to him all night. I would have much rather heard his input instead of Mr. Overacting "OH BABY HE'S GOT 2 DUCKS AND HE WOULD'T MIND ANOTHER DUCK ON THE POND BABY". Not to mention there were at least as much commercial as there was coverage. In the heads-up play there was 1 hand per commercial. The WPT season 1 and ESPN events are covered so much better.
About the poker. The guy who lost heads-up seemed to be supremely bad near the end. He was making all these weak bets and then acting surprised when he got called. Scared money I guess. Maybe he was just nervous because he probably played good (or got lucky cards) to get there. His trash talk was annoying too. I love seeing those guys go down.

Yeah...I saw this too, the coverage was absolutely horrible. Daniel Negreanu raises so the announcer yells "He's staring back at a CANDIAN raise!" The play was alright but the announcer was terrible. A real pile of a show (in my opinion). I'd say this is the worst poker show, then WPT, and WSOP is the best.
BTW, next time, please post in the "Poker on TV" board. : :D

I would agree that it is bad but it is not even close to the horror of late night poker on fox. The game is boring most of the time, the comments are dumb, and they don't even have the card cameras, the players put their cards on a glass part of the table. They also don't show the percentages.
