I just converted from $3-$6 to $4-$8 and the game is just as lose and more profitable. On a wild weekend night playing $4-$8; pots average about $100+, not bad. So, what about the higher limits (5-10, 6-12, 8-16, & 9-18)? Do you think they can be as profitable as 3-6 and 4-8? I know they can be better on the rake but is it as lose and profitable (fewer big bets an hour profit) as the lower limits? What do you think?

I think most limits below 10/20 will be relatively soft in most cases. 10/20 (and moreso 15/30) are where you begin to see the grinding pros play as you can squeak out a living at those levels. So, if you venture up to those points, but not into them, you should see pretty soft competition.
But, the most profitable level will be the one in which YOU can maximize your earn and that depends on a whole host of different factors. So, you need to find the level at which you feel most comfortable, can afford, and can beat. If you can beat the 4/8 game for 2 BB's per hour, and the 5/10 game for only 1.5/hr., then the lower game will be more profitable for you. Just make sure you find that level and stick to it while occassionally taking a shot at the bigger game when it looks really soft.
