Does everyone agree with this? I woud think it'd be better to check/call, so you can pick up a few bets from bluffs (busted draw). Even if he was calling you down w/ something like A4, he just lost his hand.
Q-
A $20-$40 game. You are in the small blind with the J-J. A middle player opens with a raise and only you and the big blind call. There is $120 in the pot and three players. The flop comes: 5-5-4, giving you jacks over fives and a backdoor flush-draw. You bet, the big blind folds, and the middle player calls. There is $160 in the pot and two players. The turn is the Q. You bet and your opponent calls. There is $240 in the pot. The river is the Q. What do you do?
A-
Bet. You were a bit worried when the first queen hit, but he didn't raise your turn bet, so your hand still looks like it is good. If he had A-A, K-K, or A-Q, you would have been popped on the turn. The river card obviously did not let your opponent go from loser to winner, so is actually a good card. You will get called by a lower pocket pair like tens or nines. Be aggressive in value-betting on the end when there was a flush-draw on the flop; the opponents don't want to get bluffed by a busted draw.

Yes, I bet for sure. The only argument for not betting is if you think your opponent will bet more hands (as a bluff or for perceived value in his mind) than he will call with. But, you need a pretty specific read on him to do this. The only hand that I can see you are beat by is quad Queens since you would have been raised on the flop if he held AK or on the turn if he held AQ, AA or KK.
