Most folds w/o seeing Flop

Like many new players in micro games, patience is a virtue that takes constant vigilance. With stakes that small, you need very little incentive to pay a dime or a quarter to see the flop.

I'm certainly guilty of that. In my first night of real money playing, I probably saw 30 flops out of 35 dealt hands. For whatever reason, it worked out exceedingly well.

That time.

What's the most consecutive hands you've folded before seeing a flop?

I don't know any exact numbers but I know I've played in MTTs where I saw around 10% of flops. Whatever the number is I'd say it's pretty high.

"The game starts at the flop" - Sammy Farha

I tend to see as many flops as cheaply as a I can. Within reason of course. But don't take my advice! Embarassed

Depends on the game. In ring games if I have the stack for it I'll see more hands from MP/LP than usual if it's unraised. In a tourney though I play pretty tight, usually seeing 20-30% flops.

My record is 83 in a row. $5/$5 NL game at Foxwoods. Really brutal run...

Yeah, you can go a long time without seeing flops, but that usually is not a bad thing. If you're watching the table, all that folding gives you an ample oppourtunity to watch the other players and observe their patterns/styles.

If you happen to run into a cold deck, don't worry. Just wait for good hands or hands of good value in the position you're in. The only time that you should not be folding every hand (and this only applies to tournaments) is when you have under 10xBB. This is a situation where it is justified to be pushing with weaker holdings within reason.
