Sorry for the overly exhuberant thread title, but I rarely if ever get to play those big Sunday tourneys. Last week at Party Poker was my first, and I paid the $215.

This week, however...

I won a Stars' $11 double shootout satellite (took three tries ... LOL).

Get my second Sunday big tourney in a row.

I know it's not a big deal to most of you online vets, but because I work Sundays I never get to play in them.

Sidenote: In last week's PP Million, I busted out in 80 minutes with trip 7s vs trip 8s.

Good luck this week, Dave. Those doulbe shootouts are pretty soft, eh?

Actually, my experience has been quite the opposite, but it may just be crappy table draws on my part.

I've played 4. Made the money in 2 (never won the seat) but my dad plays these frequently and has won over 10 seats including 2 tonight.

I've played those dbl shootouts a fair bit lately.

I played and won my first one to the 215 a couple weeks back. Then I lost about 7-8 straight. Alot of strong players in them, from what I remember

I agree with Diamond Cutter and Suprafrey, they're not that easy.
I played three, qualified in one ... didn't make money in the other two.
Like he said, it depends on your table draw.

In the shootout where I won the satellite, the guy I played head's up on the first table was brutally tough - an excellent player. We were head's up for at least 45 minutes.

The final table was strange, because the guy with the overwhelming chip lead kept playing every pot ... which I thought was really stupid.
Once I got to third, I played ultra conservative, hoping some dummy would knock himself out.

At the final three, that chip leader had whittled his way down to third because of his wreckless play - and I knocked him out with a damn pair of 3s. Despite my ultra tight play, he honestly thought his A high would hold after I called an all-in after the flop.

I'm very surprised to be hearing you guys say that the competition in those are hard. Obviously it's not easy getting the seat, as you have to win a cuple tables in a row, but the players...I've just seen them playing pretty horridly.

I'm out. Finished 3386th ... what a monster performance. LOL. Disappointed I lost, but don't really regret this call. It was a race and I couldn't keep folding.
