I'm usually just a lurker on here, but I feel like I have to share!
I finally came up big in an MTT. Just a few hours ago in the $20,000 weekly freeroll on poker.com. Finished 7th out of 789 people for a cool $600! This may not sound like much for some of you, but when you quadruple your bank roll, it feels pretty darn good. I started the final table 7th in chips, so I wasn't too dissapointed. Nothing really stands out about the tournament except that I picked up a lot of pots uncontested by raising preflop all in. I won 3 races, and a doubled up a few times when I was way ahead.

I started out on the site with $50 free, at one point it was down to about $20, but I grew it to $225 playing primarily $25 NL cash games and $2 single table tournaments. So, my question is this, what sort of stakes do you guys think that I should start playing? My bankroll is about $825 now. I know the 20 buy in rule for tournaments. For NL cash games I would probably like about the same, even though that would probably be plenty. I am very comfortable with the $25 cash tables and $5 or less sit n go's. I know that I can pretty much win at these tables without too much effort. However, I am pretty sure that I have the skills to perform well at higher limits too. My biggest weakness is that at times I am probably too conservative, especially in the later stages of sit n go's.
Starting out with play money I played exclusively tournaments, so I consider that to be my specialty. However, I have made a decent amount playing the cash tables too.
My long-term dream is to eventually be able to win at stakes where I can make a decent amount of income (but not a primary source). I am still in college right now and have a month left of summer, so I will have plenty of time to play.
Oh, and I should give some credit to you guys too...I have picked up quite a bit by reading the boards.
So I guess the primary purpose of this post was to brag a little bit, but I wouldn't mind getting some feedback.
Thanks!
Jeff

You mean it's not only the regular posters who read posts? After being here so long you kind of forget that...

Yeah...I'm just a little bit weird like that. But I'll try to actually post a little bit more often. Any other lurkers out there want to reveal themselves?

Good job man, and welcome to the posting side of the forum.
Stay in your comfort zone and don't feel the need to jump to the next level just because you got one big pay day.
Keep playing solid and manage your BR and you'd do great.
As for the rest of yous , you'd be surprised to know that usually on online forums there are more lurkers then writers.
Just something to consider before opening that big mouth again and letting the rubbish come out...
